The port of Alicante was the last of the Republicans who sailed off after a bloody war in those days and won by Franco's troops. But it was also the scene of bloody episodes like that which took place less than a year before the end of the war when the bombing of the Central Market Italian aircraft killed more than 300 civilian casualties. Yesterday, the Civic Commission for the Recovery of Historical Memory and the Platform for Citizen Initiatives carried out in the back of the Central Market a tribute to those who died on May 25, 1938, calling for the installation of a memorial. Monument has long claimed and on which the city of Alicante, the PP is not defined clearly.
